  • Recommended Rectangle Exterior LED Lights for 24v Electrical Systems
No, it can not Ed but I have a couple similar ones that can be used with a 24v system. They are the Exterior LED Utility Light item # M378FR in black or item # M388FR in gray. We also have the Optronics LED RV Exterior Scene Light item # UCL41CB. The Exterior LED Utility Light item # M378FR in black or item # M388FR in gray measure 12-1/4" long x 12" wide x 2-5/8" tall at tallest point and have a wide beam LED light that measures 8-5/8" long x 5-9/16" wide. • Can RV Exterior LED Utility Lights Be Used With 12V AND 24V Systems While Off-Grid?
Greg, you’re all set. Both the gray # M388FR and black # M378FR are designed to run on 12V or 24V DC without any extra converters. That makes them a flexible choice for RVs, trailers, or even truck-based rigs that run 24V instead. Are you running other accessories on that trailer? Luckily these don't draw much amperage at all, so you'll be fine off-grid as long as other accessories/appliances don't pull your battery bank down too much. If they do, you can always use a portable solar...

  • LED Exterior Work Light For Toy Hauler Above Ramp Door That Holds Up In Rain And Snow
Marissa, either version the # M388FR in gray or the # M378FR in black will hold up fine. The housing is powder-coated aluminum, and the LED board is sealed for outdoor use (includes foam seal with adhesive for a good seal). They are built for rain and spray on the road, and the snow and other elements, so no worries there. If you want extra insurance, run a bead of silicone around the base after screwing them down - not completely necessary, but just a little added peace of mind if you...

  • Can I Run Two LED Utility Lights To The Same Switch On Toy Hauler 12V Circuit?
No problem at all, Kevin. The M3 12v/24v LED Light # M378FR draws so little current that a pair wired to the same switch is easy on your system. In fact, lots of folks run two or more for work lighting. You’ll get nice, even coverage along the side of your hauler. Do you usually unload in wide-open spaces or tighter campgrounds?

  • Can I Wire 2 LED RV Exterior Utility Lights To The Same 12v DC Switch?
Bill, you can wire two fixtures together no problem. Just tie both positives to your switched hot lead and both negatives to ground or negative lead. Since these LEDs draw so little, you won’t overload a typical RV light circuit with a pair of gray lights # M388FR or black lights # M378FR. Are you planning to use them for general patio light or more as work-zone flood lighting? Other folks reading this - if you’ve doubled these up, how much area did they cover for you?

  • Can M3 12v 24v LED RV Exterior Light M378FR Be Dimmed?
Nicole, the # M378FR is strictly on/off. It isn’t designed for use with dimmer switches, so if you want mood lighting, you’d need to add a separate lower-output fixture (most lights like this cannot be dimmed, or at least are not advertised as being able to). Most folks pair a big LED like this with a smaller porch light so they can pick between “soft glow” or “full blast.” And even those are not normally dimmable. Do you want it for ambiance or more for security?

  • Can I Install The M3 Led Utility Light Above Hitch And Propane Area On My Trailer / RV ?
Miguel, the # M378FR works perfectly for that application. The angled design spreads light right where you’re working, and because it’s LED, it won’t cook the lens or drain your battery like an old incandescent. Is this going on an RV or an enclosed trailer? Do you usually set up camp after dark, or is this just in case you ever need to do that?

  • Replacing 2018 Forest River Surveyor Porch Light That Cracked - Will Old Holes Be Needing Filled?
Chad, good thinking ahead. Since this black housing M3 light # M378FR mounts flush instead of recessing into a cutout, you’re not locked into an exact footprint match if that makes sense. That said, I get what you're saying about not wanting holes showing - this housing measures about 12-1/4 inch x 12 inch, so in most cases it will cover the outline of older porch or utility lights. For old screw holes that don’t line up, just fill them with butyl tape or a type of sealant before setting...

  • Do I Need To Drill Or Cut Hole In Wall To Install M3 LED RV Utility Lights?
Good catch, Hannah. Unlike recessed lights, the # M388FR gray and # M378FR black mount right on the surface (flush mount). The only “hole” you’ll need is a small one for the two-wire lead. That’s why you won’t see cutout specs listed. If you’re replacing an existing wired light, you’ll already have that access hole. Are you swapping an old fixture or adding new light where there wasn’t one before? Other folks - how tricky was your wiring through the hole when you installed?

  • Replacing Yellow Lens Exterior Light On 2019 Keystone Cougar With Bright LED Utility Light
Travis, both the gray # M388FR and the black # M378FR give you the same LED performance - it’s really just about matching the look to your trailer. This will likely be much brighter than the one you had. The powder-coated aluminum housing is weather-resistant either way. Gray tends to blend better with light siding, while black can make the fixture almost disappear on darker walls. What color is your Cougar’s trim? You could also custom paint it with some high quality paint from a local...

  • Will The Black Metal Trim On LED RV Light # M378FR Hold Up To UV And Grime?
Dana, the # M378FR housing is powder-coated aluminum with a clear topcoat, so it holds up well to UV exposure and road spray. Like any finish, it may dull a bit after years in the sun, but it’s much tougher than plastic housings. If you wanted, you could always touch it up after a few years if it dulls at all, but I wouldn't worry too much about it since it's got a really nice finish on it! Do you store your trailer outside full-time, or under cover?
